LyricsFlow ("the extension") is a browser extension that detects the song currently playing in your active browser tab and displays time-synced lyrics as an on-page overlay. This policy explains what data the extension does and does not handle.

Data we collect

None. LyricsFlow does not collect, store, transmit, or sell any personally identifiable information, health information, financial information, authentication information, personal communications, location data, web browsing history, or user activity data.

How the extension works

• The extension reads the title of your active tab on supported music sites (Spotify Web, YouTube, YouTube Music, SoundCloud) to identify the artist and track name.
• The artist and track name are sent to the public LRCLIB lyrics API to retrieve matching synced lyrics. No user identifier is sent with this request.
• User preferences (overlay position, font size, enabled state) are stored locally via chrome.storage on your device and never leave your browser.

Remote code

The extension does not load or execute any remote code. All JavaScript is bundled inside the extension package.

Third parties

We do not share, sell, or transfer any data to third parties. We do not use analytics, tracking pixels, or advertising SDKs.

Permissions

The permissions requested by the extension (activeTab, scripting, storage, tabs, and host access) are used solely to detect the currently playing track and render the lyrics overlay on supported sites.
